Hello. Thanks for stopping by.
I’ve written short stories, features and restaurant reviews for my Southern California newspaper, but my passion is for the novel.
My stories are about women in crisis. I highlight a problem and offer possible solutions while celebrating the inner strength we women sometimes forget we possess.
My second and favorite novel, Beyond the Quiet, about a widow who struggles to overcome bitterness after her husband’s betrayal, hit Amazon’s top 50 bestsellers, Kindle edition, July 2011, and my first, Ten Times Guilty, garnered a half point below the top rating by RT Book Reviews. In With Full Malice, scheduled for release in 2012, a traumatized food critic must find strength when a deadly secret society targets someone she loves.
I hold certificates from several national writing courses and belonged to an international critiquing group. Check my website for tips on writing, editing, and grammar: BrendaHill.com

Brenda,
I have sure appreciated your help in writing. I would like to invite you to our Easter Services (2 at 10 am) tomorrow. For details, check our site: fbcy.org.
Thanks,
Ron
Hi Ron, so nice to hear from you.
How is your writing going? Feel like you’re making any progress?
Thank you for the invitation, but I’ll be spending the day with my son and his family. I haven’t forgotten about you, tho, and one day I just might show up at your church.
Read an article on you in the local Yucaipa Valley Messenger, January 2012. The article referenced your interest in forming a support group for encouragement and critiques of writing projects. But when I visited the Meet up site
http://www.meetup.com/YucaipaValleyNovelWritersWorkshop
The message that it does not exist comes up. How would I get more information on your idea?
Thanks, N. Lee
So you’re local? I’m so sorry, but the article is several months old, and I formed the group last year. We met several times but when I was under a deadline for my latest novel, I disbanded the group. Contact me via my website, brendahill.com and I’ll try to help you find a critique group. I know of a couple in the area.
